Terms of Sale

1.         GUARANTEE:

(a)        All items are guaranteed as described.

(b)        If an item is not received as described, it is returnable within 14 days of receipt, unless other arrangements are made.

2.         GST

(a)        Unless otherwise stated on the item listing all our prices include GST.

3.         PAYMENTS:

(a)        All individual customers are required to send payment with their order.

(b)        Institutions will be billed to meet their requirements.

(c)        All items subject to prior sale.

(d)        All items are billed in AUSTRALIAN dollars.  Any reference to "$", "dollar" or "AUD" is a reference to the lawful currency of Commonwealth of Australia.

4.         PAYMENT METHOD AND OUR REQUIREMENTS:

(a)        We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PAYPAL.

(b)        All credit card orders over $1000 AUD incur a processing fee.

(c)        If paying via PAYPAL you may be charged additional processing fees.

(d)        Customers may be required to fill out a credit card authorisation form, which we will fax to you before the sale is completed.

(e)        We accept cheques, bank cheques and money orders.  Your order will be mailed after your payment has cleared in our bank account.

5.         SHIPPING COSTS:

(a)        Prices of books do not include shipping.

(b)        We generally use Australia Post for both domestic and international mailing. Sometimes we also use FedEx for mailing our orders.

(c)        Other shipping arrangements can be made on your request.

(d)        Shipping will be charged to you at the cost we pay for it.

6.         REFUNDS:

(a)        Full refunds will be given only when items are received by us in the same condition in which they were sent. For our complete policy on Refunds and Returns please click here.

7.         INSURANCE

(a)        All shipments are fully insured by us.

(b)        If you have received an item that is damaged please contact us via the contact us page and advise us of the nature and extent of the damage. Please also advise us of your name, contact number and order number.

(c)        It would also be very helpful if you were able to include some digital pictures of the damage so we may be able to assess your claim quicker.

9.         FORCE MAJEURE

(a)        Hordern House shall not be liable for any delay in performing any of its obligations under these Terms of Trade if such delay is caused by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Hordern House.

(b)        Hordern House shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of time for the performance of such obligations.
