This Act continues the original Act of 1830 instituting the colony of Western Australia (previously called the Swan River Colony). The Act was renewed on a yearly basis for many years, meaning that such an Act had to be promulgated every year. Of course, any material relating to the first decade in the west is of some note and significance.
