Each design is illustrated in plan, elevation, and 'Scenic View'. Most of the scenic views were drawn on stone by J.D. Harding and printed on India paper.

Of course Robinson's promotion of the cottage orné proved influential in Australia, where it became a popular architectural style with colonial architects (see Broadbent, The Australian Colonial House, p. 354).
