Ellie Aroney has been involved in the world of rare books since 2002 when she started at Cornstalk Bookshop to help fund her arts degree. Since then, she has had experience in auction houses, rare book fairs and libraries. She was co-founder of Sydney Rare Book Auctions, helped organise the Hong Kong International Rare Book Fair 2007-2012, and has a Masters in Library Management. A member of ALIA (Association of Librarians), and BSANZ, Ellie is the author of “Antiquarian booksellers- collections, collecting and book selection 2018” (Paper given at RAILS), and “Ion Idriess an illustrated bibliography”. She recently curated the University of Technology Sydney exhibition “Magic Pudding: celebrating 100 years of the Australian children’s classic”.
