Second edition (first published in 1594), revised and edited by Johann Brandis of Hildesheim, of this legal treatise on the feudal system, by the German lawyer Ludolph Schrader (1531-1589), professor and rector of the University of Frankfurt. As a legal advisor and legal advisor to the Emperors Maximilian II and Rudolf II as well as numerous other princes and several important noble families, he had political influence and became a famous lawyer of his time.
