First edition in an appealing Sangorski binding of tan crushed morocco complete with the unnumbered 4-page 'Postscript' between pages 208 and 209 detailing Eyre's overlanding expedition from Port Phillip to Adelaide in 1838 during which he discovered and named Lake Hindmarsh. 'These few paragraphs… provide the very first appearance in book form of the great explorer, Edward John Eyre…' (Wantrup).
