Sent in search of Peter Warburton

John Ross is now remembered as second of two men to cross the entirety of the Australian continent through its centre. This parliamentary printing records a little known exploration of Ross in the central desert country of South Australia during 1874, amongst creeks running to the West of Mt. O'Halloran and Mt. Kingston. This expedition sponsored by Sir Thomas Elder and was sent in search of Peter Warburton, then lost in the wilderness.
