Correspondence collected by the Government Resident Edward Price regarding goldfields claims, a reward of some £500 being offered by the government of South Australia for viable discoveries. Two such are here examined, the conditions of the reward being twofold. Firstly, the claim must not fall within 5 miles of an existing goldfield; secondly, some 5,000 ounces of workable gold must be produced to claim the £500.
