Parliamentary Act to clarify the process of paying out prize monies for experiments in establishing Longitude, stipulating that the Commissioners of the Board of Longitude are to pass on the particulars of any successful individual to the Commissioners of the Navy to arrange payment through the Naval treasurer. This process is for sums up to £2000: greater amounts require parliamentary approval.
