A particularly attractive edition of a rare Kate Greenaway title. The material presented here is of the instructional sort, typical of the Victorian era, with such titles as "Dirty Jim", "Meddlesome Matty" and "Mischief", outlining the results of these "moral errors". Although individual poems are not ascribed, the work contains poems by Ann Taylor (1782-1866), Jane Taylor (1783-1824), Isaac Taylor (1759-1829), and Adelaide O'Keeffe (1776-1855).This collection was first published in 1883 with printed paper wrappers; both editions are now uncommon.
