Samoan indigenous ritual

Exceptionally scarce work on traditional beliefs in Samoa. This is an offprint with a specially printed wrapper - typically this might have been produced only for presentation by the author - from the Revue d'Anthropologie. Pierre Adolphe Lesson was the brother of René Primevère Lesson who sailed with and wrote about the Duperrey voyage. P.A. Lesson (1804-1888) was also a ship's doctor and spent much of the 1840s in Oceania. He also wrote Les Polynésiens et leurs migrations.
