| Now available is our Cook's Final Voyage catalogue which, as the title suggests, collects items relating to Captain Cook's third Pacific voyage, including unusual and very rare items relating to the news of his death in Hawaii.
The catalogue includes the pair of Eckstein and Stadler prints depicting the arrival of Cook's boats in Kamchatka; an excellent example of very rare "Courage and Perseverance" medal struck in Cook's honour; lovely copies of the unofficial accounts of Rickman, Zimmermann, Ellis and Ledyard; John Webber's famous depiction of Cook's death in Hawaii; a handsome set of the official account; a very rare poem about Vancouver's voyage, now attributed to the brother of one of his officers; and an uncommonly tall set of the Dufour wallpaper, the great visual tribute to the new discoveries in the Pacific.
